Nephew missing while uncle found dead in IB River, Brajrajnagar

On 08th of March, Sunday, Sandeep Mehta (54) had gone to IB River near OPM with his two nephews and one niece. They were bathing nearby the side of the temporary road made up of sand. Ketan jumped to the river for caching the bucket which was gone away from him. Unfortunately Ketan did not know swimming and went under the water. To save ketan’s life Sandeep also jumped to river and both the nephew and uncle were missing in the river.

Seeing this the sibling crying and asking help to the labours who were working nearby there. They were looking for the man and the child but they did not get. In the evening a rescue team from Jharsuguda came and started the search operation for both uncle and nephew. They found the uncle body while the nephew is missing.

Couple surrendered, for running fake college in Sambalpur

Dhanupali police arrested a couple who had been running a fake plus two arts college in Charbhati area, Sambalpur. The couple, Tusar Barik and his wife Manjulata, were operating Jamuna Devi Junior College from a rented house in Charbati area under Dhanupali police limits without  any affiliation from the Council of Higher Secondary Education. They had duped 25 students of Rs9.75 lakh.

The couple had taken Rs36,000 from each student in the last two years as admission fees, besides Rs 3,000 each as examination fees. Sambalpur SP Kanwar Vishal Singh said the couple suo motu appeared in the Dhanupali police station and they have been detained. Based on the evidences, further decision on arresting them will be taken on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the students, who had taken admission in the fake institution and failed to appear in the Plus Two examination, staged dharna in front of the residence of the Sambalpur Collector demanding stringent action against the culprits.  They withdrew the agitation after Collector Subham Saxena assured them a high-level probe into the incident.

Tusar was principal of the fake college while Manjulata was a faculty member.  On Wednesday when the students sought admit card for appearing the Plus Two exams, they were told that the cards would be provided at their examination centre. However, when the students turned up at the examination centre at Anchalik College in Subarnapur district, they were refused. They rushed back to their college only to find it locked and both Tusar and Manjulata missing.

A man arrested for abusing in college premises

 

On Monday, Dhanupali police arrested a man who forcefully entered to the Govt. Women’s College premises and abusing on students.

On Monday, a man forcefully entered college premises and abusing on students. He was shouting on every one who ever in front of him or who was trying to stop him. The incident happened inside the Govt. Women’s College situated near the Bhuta Pada Chowk.

As soon as the Principal knew about this, immediately he asked the Dhannupali Police. Police came to the place and arrested the person. Police submitted the person to the court on Tuesday for further justice.

 

RPF constable saves life at Bhubaneswar

Yesterday on Saturday, a RPF constable saved a woman passenger from falling into the gap between a running train and platform at Bhubaneswar station.

The passenger was identified as Nibedita Sahoo , a lecturer of Rama Devi Women’s University Bhubaneswar. She fell into the gap of the running train and platform while she was trying to board Puri-Sambalpur express 18304 for Dhenkanal. She was running to attend her engagement ceremony.

It was Subrat Maharan’s presence of mind, that he immediately lifted the woman from the gap and saved her life. It is routine duty of RPF to check departure of every train.

Nibedita Sahoo expressed her gratitude to the on duty RPF constable for saving her life. She was feeling well and do not have any internal injury

Patient relative looted by showing Bhujali in Burla

With the help of a Bhujali, an amount of Rs. 30,000 was looted from a patient relatives in Burla while he was taking bath in Mahanadi near Kendriya Vidyalaya -2

A man came for her wife treatment in a private nursing home in Burla and staying there. Basically the couple is from Redhakhol. On 7th of February the man with his other relative went for taking bath in Mahanadi near Kendriya Vidyalaya -2. While taking bath, a group of 3 strangers coming near to them and threatening by showing a Bhujali and loot an amount Rs.30000.

Now the man is helpless as all the money what he had, was looted. And he worried about the treatment for his wife because he have no money even for their eating purpose. He came to the police station near by the canal area and lunched a FIR against what happened to him.

This type of cases were happened regularly with patient relatives in Burla. Many times police arrest some thieves  from this canal area and submit to the court for next procedure. But still police is not regularized the security for controlling the bad people in Burla.

These bad people is very harmful to any mankind as Burla is the only one Big Government Hospital in Western Odisha. The dependents are also from the border states. So police should take necessary steps to demoralized the bad people. So further no bad people having courage to do this type of bad things in Burla.
