Jail if coin not accepted. There has been a strong reaction in the general public due to the non-operation of coin in different parts of the state.

The regional office of the Reserve Bank of India has clarified that, if the coin is not accepted, it will be penalized accordingly.

According to the section 188 of the IPC, the punishment will be 6 month of imprisonment, if the legal tender is not accepted. Jail if coin not accepted
