Odisha Government announced Rs.1600 crore to develop sambalpur
The State Government on Friday announced a plan of Rs 1,600 crore for overall development of Sambalpur city. The plan was finalised, at a meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat. Chief Minister directed the concerned officers to complete projects within stipulated time frame.
The amount would be spent on construction of roads and bridges, renovation works of Maa Sameleswari Temple, construction of a guest house, a water park, a rope way, systematization of water supply and a modern bus terminal among others.
Among others, Urban Development Minister Puspendra Singhdeo, Sambalpur MLA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi and Development Commissioner UN Behera were present.
