Sambalpur lad features as Infosys youth icon
Sambalpur lad Ansuman Panda, currently working as a testing engineer at Infosys, Bangalore, features in the company’s campaign, ‘Future is built by the restless’. The IT major selected Ansuman to strike a chord with the future Gen-Y recruits. The advertisement has been well received in social networking sites like Facebook and Orkut.
“I am happy that the company chose me as an icon over its around 1.5 lakh employees,” said Ansuman. He had to undergo a gruelling selection process along with several hundreds of the company.
A gym enthusiast, Ansuman did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Balangir, and completed Plus Two from Bhubaneswar KV. He did BTech from KIIT in Bhubaneswar and joined Infosys in 2009.
While Ansuman’s father, Sasanka Sekhar Panda, is the Joint Director in the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Odisha, at Bhubaneswar, his grandfather is Sambalpur-based renowned Odia writer Uma Shankar Panda.
“The advertisement in the newspaper came as a surprise for us. Though I was aware of the photo session,
I did not know that he has been selected for the theme,” said Sasanka Sekhar Panda.
