Four-day techno festival held at VSSUT
The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology’s (VSSUT) Samavesh-2012, its four-day annual techno management festival, was inaugurated on Thursday.
Students of several colleges of the state are participating in the festival. Events like robotic, technical paper presentation and programming are organised for the students. The best performers will be distributed prizes on the closing day on Sunday. On the opening day, Pawan G Agrawal, chief executive officer of the Mumbai Dubbawalas, delivered a lecture. Managing Director of Boeing Research and Technology, India, Dr Bala Bhardwaj, writer cum entrepreneur Durjoy Datta and motivational speaker Akash Gautam are to speak during the festival.
Fun programmes like acrobatic and pyrotechnic shows are also be held. The Music Club of the university will also perform during the festival. Around 200 students from other premier institutions of the State are participating in the event.
It’s a nice experience and the questions put by the judges and the audience are challenging, Subhasis Debata, a participant of Business Plan event said. This is an opportunity for technocrats to gain knowledge about technologies and businesses. This is the seventh edition of the Samavesh, Debabrata Panda, media head of the festival said.
