Release of flood water from Hirakud Dam on 5th August
On tomorrow 5th August, the first flood water of this season would be released from Hirakud Dam, informed by the Dam’s chief engineer Harmohan Pradhan. The floodwaters would be released through seven gates between 10 am and 12.30 pm on that day. Water would be released through some sluice gates as rains continue to occur
Miscreants attack on Circle Jail Superintendent, Sambalpur
Some miscreants attacked on circle jail Superintendent sambalpur Mr Brahmananda Sahu while returning to home after a surprise raid. Sahu has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital here. His condition is stated to be critical so that he has been shifted to burla hospital as his condition deteriorated.
