Two women Maoists leaders surrendered before Odisha Police in Kalahandi

Two women Maoists leaders from Chattishgarh on Monday surrendered before Odisha Police in Kalahandi. This was informed by the IG of South-West range Yashwant Jathawa.

They are namely Phulbati alias Mithila (30) and Rukmati alias Rashmila (28).  They were working as Area Committee Members (ACMs) in Chhattisgarh since 2006, police sources said. Jethwa said the duo was actively providing leadership as ACMs of Koili Bhitar area committee at Mainpur under the Nuapada Division of the CPI Maoist organisation.

In another incident Maoists torch vehicles in Nuapada district. Maoist raided a contractor’s base and torched construction vehicles parked near Timali village.
